US imports must declare the true value; duties are paid by the receiver by default (DDU) or by the sender by arrangement (DDP); products requiring FDA, FCC or CPC certification need documents prepared in advance.
Always declare true value
Undervaluation risks fines and returns. We only do truthful declarations and never promise duty 'evasion'.
Who pays the duties?
Default is receiver-pays (DDU); sender-pays (DDP) can be arranged — confirm with us before dispatch.
What gets inspected more?
Mismatches between description and contents, obviously low declared values, and sensitive categories (food, cosmetics, electronics) see higher inspection rates.
Which products need certification?
FDA (food contact / cosmetics), FCC (wireless electronics), CPC for children's products — prepare certifications in advance.
